Kudos acknowledges and pays respect to the Gadigal and Bidjigal people of the Eora nation. They are the traditional custodians of the land Kudos operates on. We create, design, share, and exchange our work and knowledge on this important meeting place. We pay our respects to elders past and present and extend that respect to any First Nations people who engage with Kudos. This is and always will be Aboriginal land.

the silence between words we never tell, (2026), is a series of reflective, innuendo-ridden self-portraits that interrogate Filipino cultural shame through the recurring motif of hair. Within Filipino culture, the unspoken carries as much weight as the articulated. This shame functions as colonial residue, internalised until mistaken for culture itself. These varying depictions of hair then become a costume to contest that inherited authority. The body operates as an archive, where survival is preserved rather than spoken. Silence is reframed from absence to its own language; one that my queerness has occupied. Where it is held privately and performed carefully. What was framed as undesirable becomes evidence of humanity; concealment becomes a refusal to stay implied.
